Does anyone have any impressive technique for Northern pike fishing?
I'm looking for a really awesome good technique for catching these "water wolves", I've been fishing this lake I know it has the north in it, and I can not seem to get em! I prefer to use lures artificial, as articulated RAPALA, Johnson Silver Minnow or tip w / a curly tail grub.Any idea for me? Holla Back!
Here's a tip for you and everyone who likes to fish for pike. Instead of using Rapalas, thundersticks storms original use. Thundersticks are made of hard plastic instead of balsa wood. With the hard plastic, pike close to temptation and have more difficulty penetrating into temptation with their teeth. This will get better as hookset The attraction has an easy time slipping through your mouth. With Rapala, the balsa wood is soft and as you see I am, pikes teeth easily penetrate the surface of the attraction. You do not look as good in a sense hookset potential fish losses. Try em ... Ive caught many pike and muskeys under them. Try contractions on the surface of explosive topwater action as well. If you're going to keep the colors pike gaughty strong. that.Try love spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater plugs as the pop-R and ghosts zara, crankbaits, spoons, MEPP ... the damned are so more or less aggressive they'll eat anything. Also try SUPERLINE PowerPro. Best line fishing in my opinion. Very difficult for em to bite. Also ... buy things of good quality. I use quantom garcia, abu, or Shimano reels and rods i use are either Falcon, G-Loomis, or st. croix. Its worh the money not have to worry about equipment failure.
