Finding fish in the Surf

One of the most difficult problems confronting the novice in surf fishing is to locate the fish that coastal venture for food. As the beginner glances up and down the miles of beach, is likely to scratch your head and wonder where you should place your lure or bait. For him, a section of breaking waves and the water looks much like any other, and he finds it difficult to choose the best place for fishing.

Unfortunately for the newcomer, however, the ability to choose the best fishing spots in the surf takes time to acquire. Through years of trial and error surf fishermen experienced have learned that the points are the most productive and which to ignore. However, beginners can spend hours fishing a barren place. What to do about it?

You can get information on fishing hot spots surfing friends and fishing tackle bag. If you have a surf fishing buddy reach mutual agreement in order to keep everyone informed when and where the catch of fish in the waves. Or fall into local fishing around in front of the shop and talk to the owner or browse fishermen who have gone fishing.

Many surf fishermen to enter the local store to weigh a big fish or buy a lure or line. The dealer receives a good idea of the places that are producers of fish, and is happy to pass this information to their customers.

The onset often surf fisherman has a favorite way to locate the best fishing spots. He goes to the beach and looking for other fishermen. If you see a line of surf fishermen who joins them in the belief that they are the best fishing spot. This can or may not be true.

If the fishermen are fishing and have fished in that place recently, then it is a good idea to meet with them. But if no fish are caught you can spend your time fishing there. You can often do better to find a less crowded. In fact, although a few fish are caught at the time still can increase your chances of trying a different place, where there is less competition.

Surf fish like striped bass, bluefish, channel bass, weak and other fish often move faster. May be present and active in a given area and then within minutes, they disappear. So when these species move in large schools and actively feeding on smaller baitfish, find the best way is to look at birds, particularly gulls and terns sea, diving and turning on the water. This usually indicates that the larger fish games below are driving the bait to the surface.

When the birds are within casting distance, always a good idea to take a squid or a metal surface are connected to the shock. If there are no large fish feeding, the possibilities are good that you will receive a strike. But even if the birds are out of range of quality or just sitting in the water, it's worth keeping an eye on them.

If the bait fish move in shore birds and game fish follow and often can reach them. On many occasions I have spent many hours during the day watching the gulls and terns diving and rolling too far offshore to get a cast. However, at dusk, often bait and then headed inshore action would not be faster than the larger fish followed them to the beach.

Sometimes you do not see birds working, but you look good bait small jumps or jumping out of the water or see a big fish smack the water with its tail or whirlpool, and chasing a smaller fish. However, it is an indication that There are fish food. Then it's up to you to find the attraction they want.

Fishing can be fun in the surf, and following these guidelines, may be rewarding!
