shark fishing report
Today in the UN, China, Russia and Japan voted against a conversation attempt for sharks.?

The conversation group Oceana released a report showing the demand for "shark fin soup" was pushing several species of these big fish to the brink of extinction. This report said as many as 73 million sharks were killed each year for their fins.

China had no figures or information to disagree but thought it should be left to the regional fish bodies for this decision. How would regional fish decisions help the conservation of sharks world wide? The Japanese fish world wide as well as many other nations.

I live in north Georgia in the southern part of the US. Here we have problems with the Chinese and Japanese buying poached bear feet and parts from bears that are illegally killed. This money the Asians pay is enough to make people kill these animals just for the parts the Asian people want. They also pay very high prices for ginsing. Why people that are suppose to be educated fly around the world and pay enough money to make people break the laws is hard to understand. These Asian people who kill sharks for the fins, kill bears for the feet, tongues and some internal organs should be put in jail in their home countries. But no their home countries have already killed all these animals there so now they fly around the world paying others to do these deeds for them there. No wonder the Asians run out of the natural animals in their lands, they were not smart enough to stop the killings there. When all the animals and fish are gone who will the Asians blame then?
