Tips For Making Fishing Lures Saltwater

Making your own to fishing and fly tying can be a very rewarding. In fact, I like tying flies and lures as much as I do fishing.

A spoon is just what its name suggests. A convex surface, painted or textured, smooth or just normal, and a concave surface plain that is the lower part of the attraction. It has a small hole drilled or punched at each end, with a split ring and hook on one end and a hole normal or turn the other to tie the line.

That's it. In the recovery falters, darts back and forth, shakes and drives fish crazy. They may even be TIIP with live bait, or skirts, or plastic bodies. A simple version can be easily done by cutting the handle of a spoon of suitable size and presentation for smooth cutting.

Then, simply make a small hole in each end and attack a saliva ring and hook in the larger end, and tie your line for the other hole. I would recommend placing a split ring and swivel to the end line, and that due to the violent action of the attraction, the metal can cut line.

You can paint bucket, hammer a texture on it, dressed with hook bucktail, marabou or a rubber skirt, or the bit with whatever you want.
