using garlic to boost salwater fish immune system?

I have a ten gallon aquarium (fish only), with 4 small perculla clowns and 1 coral beauty. Ive had the CB for 3 weeks already and the clowns for just a week (this is my first aquarium). The CB haven't eaten any of the flakes, pellets or frozen worms I fed. It just munches on the live rocks, im not sure if its okay that way. About a week ago, I noticed the CB scraching its body on the rocks, and last night, it has some white spots on its body (not sure if its just sand). I noticed it disappeared this morning (though around 3 spots remained). Im not sure if it is ich or any other disease. I learned that garlic can help boost the immune system of saltwater fish. There are no available fish food with garlic or any other treatment products around here. I'll be relying on hyposalinity (did some research) and garlic. I just dont know how to use the garlic. Should I just chop some small bits and directly feed it along with the flakes, pellets or frozen worms?

1 - That definitely sounds like ich.

2 - Garlic *might* boost immune systems. The evidence is anecdotal; researchers have not been able to verify it. And it doesn't matter, because it won't affect the cysts in any notable way.

3 - Your tank is way overstocked; in addition to the problems this causes, this will create more hosts for the ich, and they may be able to burrow in before the hyposalinity kills them due to the dense population of the tank.

4 - The angel nipping on the rock is fine. He'll eventually run out of food to bite on the rocks and start nipping at things in the water, such as the foods you mentioned. If he doesn't eat, use some live brine shrimp to get him used to the looking upwards for food. Once he gets into that habit, he should start eating regularly.

5 - For now, the best you can do is isolate the angel. Get him into a separate tank and hope that the clowns aren't infected yet. Use the hyposalinity treatment on the second tank.

This will also give the angel time to get accustomed to accepting food from the surface.

6 - You will need to invest in a bigger tank to keep your current selection healthy. In the future, use your 10 gallon as a quarantine tank for new arrivals. This will not only get them used to the feeding situation, but will also prevent the various parasites and infections that fish can be carrying from getting into your display tank.
