The Harry Potter series of books has captured the minds of children and adults alike. The movies have not disappointed either group, and are among the films grossing of all time. For some reason, however, video games have been released along with the movies have not been able to reach the same level of quality films and books have achieved.

The latest game, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, continues that trend. There is a faithful recreation of Hogwarts school to explore, but once you've seen the pictures, not much else to do. Even the most diehard Potter fans get tired of seeing the grand staircase umpteenth return from their search for her.
Visually, the Order of the Phoenix is all over the place. Many areas of Hogwarts, as the grand staircase or great hall, look spectacular and very detailed. However, many of the corridors look the same and are largely empty. Combat spells seem very interesting when he drove, but there are so few duels that will rarely get to enjoy seeing the spells in action. At first glance, character models are resemble their movie counterparts and are quite nice. But once you can see movement, you will notice that they all look like the type of zombies.Things are still worse in the cutscenes using the game engine.
Characters staring into the distance and mouth do not move when speaking. Having the actors from the movies voice their characters in the game goes a long way towards immersion in an experience, even with the scenes of poor quality and writing. It is curious however, that much dialogue in the game seems to lack. You often see text on the screen that indicates the characters are talking but no sound. The musical score is known here and suits the game perfectly, which kind of makes you wonder why they used so little.

It is hard to imagine the video game version of Harry Potter and the Order the Phoenix will appeal to anyone. Older fans of Harry Potter likes exploring Hogwarts for a while, but soon gets bored to tears by the low level of difficulty and the tedious objectives. The young also have a kick to see the sights and appreciate the forgiving difficulty, as well as the simplicity of the tasks hand. But glad to get tired of using their favorite character to perform an endless task. If being the most famous magician world is boring, there would have been more a book.
