What is the purpose of the jigging rod?
When and what fish would i use a jigging rod, for example a rod like this,

Would this rod be suitable to use off a pier/jetty?
If I fished salt water, I would put my Penn International 975 on that rod and use it for flingin' big irons. Big, heavy diamond jigs.
