What is the best way to clean old fishing lures without damaging them?
I have more than one hundred vintage fishing lures were my father. They are in really good shape but need cleaning. I need to know the best way to clean without damaging them.
to start, no used anything stronger than mild soap and a soft toothbrush to scrub. if they are of painted wood, l not touch them with fear even by removing the paint. plastic lures should be fine. l got a troll of a lake that was covered in growth and after a gentle wash, the finish looks almost new. caps painted but you can get cracks in the paint over the years and the water can penetrate and lift pieces of paint that will diminish any value. make a shadow box for display on its current state.
