grouper fishing tips

I Ocean Fishing in Fort Myers Florida anyone has any advice?
What draws / bait and fish are fished ... There barracuda redfish, cobia, snapper, grouper, sea bass (appreciate some tips on bass), and many other game fish. I have 12 lbs test line and a lure Diving Rapala blue sardine and a tent of glass. I prefer artificial lures, but I do not care if I have to use bait alive / dead or not. thanks! I am a fisherman at sea by dumbo so any suggestion I will appreciate.
I know you like to use lures, but as JF said, shrimp is the thing. When you say Ocean (we we call the Gulf) I guess that goes from the coast. In general, you have to leave at least 15 miles to be in more than 35 feet of water. Fish and wrecks, reefs artificial, Lee Co. has several of them. And use pin fish (any white bait) live shrimp or squid, possibly, if you want to catch fish. MAY Reef is not too Big Carlos passed away. Snook have recently retired. Most water in Lee Co. is a sandy bottom, so you need to know where you are getting the structure or the bottom in vivo. Snook bite well in the pin fish as grouper. A lot of snappers, triggers, sharks, fish, pig, barracuda and jacks in the mixture around the base in vivo. I probably put a 20 # leader Floro carbon in the test line 12 #. Tight lines, I hope to catch a mess.
