Tips Walleye Fishing

Alaska summer, this is the time for fishing popular in Canada. Tens of thousands of fishermen consider this your favorite fish to catch in the sport and especially by the fact that it is one of the great fish to eat.

This advice comes from experience, while fishing Alaska in northern Ontario, on Manitoulin Island, was in the early hours of the morning hoping to pick up a few principles Alaska.

I went to a bank fish that often are 20 to 25 feet of water, and drops to about 70 feet deep. After about and hour or so, I had two small walleyes to show the result of my effort. Assuming that the cold front that moved through the night had affected fish, fish started to leave and along the length bank, and even the fish do not. With the help of technology (fish finder, sonar) I found that there were groups of fish suspended between 20 and 25 supply 75 feet of water. Finally surmised that the fish maintain this level would be very difficult, and when suspended like this are not usually a feeding mood.

The next problem was that to get these fish with my templates and no bottom structure was almost impossible to follow, although by fraud or trolling bait is preset at a level my best, if not turned on again was a tuff sell for these walleyes. What is needed in a situationlike it is a slow presentation of the lure or live bait. What I needed was a bait delivery system that always put me in the right depth and slow enough to keep bait in the strike zone for a long time, so making fun of the action. I wanted to be able to make long casts to allow deviations from long through of these schools in Alaska suspended.

I decided to give a slip-bobber an opportunity is simple and deadly when used right. Most fishermen do not use Alaska is sufficient technical work. Cork slip, slide up and down the line from its hook in a cork leaving established to the desired depth. That needed to get the bait up to 25 feet with sheet cork stopper that is used to set the depth is so small that it will pass through the guides rod and reel without any problems. And if you find its depth is not quite right you simply move the stop up or down.

Now with non-slip cork precisely control my depth, I was able to drift my bait (live bait, jigs, and plastic works well) right through of these schools in Alaska at the nose, the fish can also slow giving these finicky walleyes lot of time to decide to have a snack. It was a great school of walleyes and the result was a couple of hours of super walleye fishing.

If you think about it slip bobbers can be used with your favorite live bait for fishing Alaska. A normal hook or jig tipped with a tent, a worm or leaching can be fished in the same way to control the exact depth. More not slip bobbers limited to fishing for Alaska. They are excellent for all types of fishing, when conditions call for depth control, long distance casting or presentation very slow. I used them for trout and salmon in the rivers, and even low in small pools where you need a long cast and slow motion. I've taken a lot nice bass under and beside the numerous swimming pools and dams around the different lakes have fished and used this method with considerable success. These tactics also work very well around bridge abutments, piers and supports, and weed lines, and dams. By casting so easily and without problems that are large for children, love to see the cork from shrinking and disappearing.

Once you start fishing for Alaska and other species, is likely to find all types of situations in which the response to the speed and depth control. Pick up a partner and try these tips, you will not regret. Just go fishing!
