Thinking about an aquarium? Please read ....?

I want an aquarium, a small place, but definitely not small, I would like about 5 fish small there, I would prefer salt water, but much work is salt water in a freshwater aquarium? I know a pretty good amount about fish, so it would be irresponsible, but I want to know if this is a lot of work. I have basketball practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7, and Games for 1 hour either Saturday or Sunday. I'm in school every day from Monday to Friday from 6 to 8 hours I think. And I like having a lot of free time, but I would be willing to give it to a fish tank. In addition, when basketball is over, I'm in another year of the program every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8. I have a lot of the task only to 40 minutes. Please tell me if I have enough time to care for a fish aquarium and if I choose a tank of salt water or fresh water, which is easier? thank you. ♥

I work 50 to 60 hours. a week and have time for 3 tanks of saltwater, freshwater, 2, and a variety of reptiles and amphibians, so I think it will do well TimeWise. Fresh water is easier (and cheaper) to create, and I spend the same amount of time in each of maintenance. The major differences are the amount of equipment needed (you'll need a hydrometer, salt, possibly protein skimmer and better lighting for salt, depending on what animals who want to enter), you can keep as many marine fish tanks (the figures are more aggressive and are territorial, so they need to be more dotted) and fish usually cost more salt. But if you choose well, they are saltwater fish that are almost as easy as freshwater fish! Both should have a change in weekly cleaning and water for about 20-30% of the volume of water and tested for pH, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. In saltwater, it is also necessary to test for these, in addition to calcium and alkalinity in terms of what would be maintenance. I recommend starting with at least one tank of 29 to 30 liters, while a 55 would be better. The larger the tank, the more stable water chemistry and temperature, and this is important because marine fish do not do well with changes in their environment.
