Inshore fishing questions!! Help!?

I just bought a Shimano SEDONA 400FD reel and a 6'6" st. croix rod medium stiffness. The test of my line is about 12-13 lbs and so is my rod. If I am casting shrimp and mirror lures off the shore near Charleston, SC, what should I expect to catch and also should i put any weight on the line??

Well first of all you can expect to catch Redfish, Seatrout, ladyfish and maybe a catfish or two on the mirrolures. Shrimp will catch just about anything. As for the weights, Don't use weights if you are throwing the Mirrolures. I would use a jighead for the shrimp, 1/8-1/4oz
