Would do Canadians think of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia?
Do Canadians from other provinces ever consider touring Canada's Atlantic coast and drinking screech and fishing and drinking the local wine to take in the maritime history of their country?
What do Canadians think of Atlantic Canada? Do French-speaking Canadians still love this part of Canada eventhough it was once more French?
I have gone travelling in Newfoundland and really enjoyed it, and I intend to do a trip through the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia in the next few years. I think most Canadians outside the region wouldn't consider this, though, because it's quite far away. From Montreal, it's about a five hour drive to the coast of Maine or Massachusetts, but more like a 15-hour drive to Nova Scotia.
I don't think most French-speaking Canadians are very familiar with Nova Scotia or Newfoundland. They are much more familiar with New Brunswick because there are still a lot of French speakers there.
